Emily and Brigham's JcPennies pictures

 Posted by Picasa
Ok so I am a little behind on blogging.... Sorry.
Here is the Holmes family celebrating one of their favorite holidays, Halloween. Brigham this year was an adorable bear, thanks again to Aunt Lynne's adorable costume. Emily wanted to be something with wings so Tinker Bell fit perfect. James and I really enjoyed dressing up as a dead bride and groom and we need to thank Jenni for the great makeup job. Happy late Halloween.

First Snow

The first snow of the season! This morning was so much fun as Ashlyn, Emma and I braved the cold to play in the snow. Ashlyn loved every single bit of it, while Emma had thoughts of a warm cozy blanket dancing in her head. Posted by Picasa

Some prefer a bed...

...and others prefer a snake!Just another one of Ashlyn's "I'm not going to sleep in my room" episodes. Caught in the hallway upstairs with baby doll, Emma's birthday bear, water, and a book. What else do you need? Posted by Picasa

Happy Halloween

As you can see, we had a very fun and tiring Halloween. Emma was the cutest purple dragon you've ever seen, and Ashlyn was a pretty, glittery ghost. We dressed up and went to Omniture in the afternoon for some office trick-or-treating (I'll have to send a picture of Josh's Karate Kid Shower costume ASAP). The kids had a blast, and Ashlyn made out like a bandit. The plan was to go home, have some birthday dinner for Josh and Emma, and then hit the neighborhood. Well, Omniture was just a little too much fun - they both were zonked by the time we got home. So, instead, Josh had fun scaring all the trick-or-treaters that came to the house. All-in-all, it was a very fun Halloween. Posted by Picasa

Happy Birthdays!

A very happy birthday to Emma, Emily, Nicole, and Josh! We had fun carving pumpkins yesterday! Thanks for coming over and celebrating with us. We missed Grandma and Grandpa D., but hopefully, we'll catch them on the next birthday celebration. Have a happy Halloween, everyone! Posted by Picasa

Only from genetics...

Back in the day, Molly and I use to sleep in different areas of the house each night during the summer--talk about bored! We would sleep on the trampoline, mom and dad's deck, the living room deck....the list goes on. One of our unique locations to sleep was the landing in the middle of the stairs in Mom and Dad's house in Wenatchee. Therefore, I can only contribute the behavior below to genetics.

This picture was taken last night at 10:15 PM. It looks like safety gates that keep children from climbing stairs now have a dual purpose. Posted by Picasa

Pumpkin Land

We went to a place called Pumpkin Land for playgroup the other day. We had a ton of fun, and Ashlyn got to pick out her very own pumpkin. As you can see, the girls are growing bigger and cuter every day. Happy Fall, everyone! Posted by Picasa

Some more fun pictures

Well, there you have it. I still have another role that needs to be developed. We definitely need to share photos next time we all get together.

Cabin Fever (Literally)

Here are some of my favorites. Unfortunately, most of our pictures turned out really dark because of a new accessorie we were trying. It took the glare off the water, but it also accentuated the shadows. I really like the group shots of all of us in the water. I'm blogging the best two. If anyone would like a copy, just let me know. I think I'm going to get one blown up. What a fun trip (most of the time):)!

What a Morning!

If it's quiet in the house, there must be trouble. I was folding laundry in the family room, and Ashlyn was playing in the front room...or so I thought. I kept calling her name, asking her to come show me what she was doing. Finally, she brought down my hot pink nail polish and showed me her beautiful toes that she had just finished. I panicked! I scooped her up and asked her to show me where she was painting her nails. Amazingly enough, there was only one dish towel ruined and a tiny bit on the carpet. A little while later, she had taken off her diaper (it had some nail polish on it) and came down to show me this brown stuff on her hand. I looked at her bum, and sure enough, she had poop smears. I panicked...again. I asked her if she had pooped on the floor, and she said she had. We went looking again, and found nothing. Another major catastrophe averted. Needless to say, it has been quite the morning! Posted by Picasa
